'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion' release row: Sathyaraj apologizes
Activists have threatened to shut down Bengaluru on 28th April and as a mark of protest to actor Sathyaraj statement which he made 9 years ago on the Cauvery water Dispute. The actor has finally apologized for it. As this became very controversial. This apology had solved the problem as this is what everyone wanted to hear and allow the activist had demanded. Kattappa character was played by Sathyaraj in the film who was asked to apologize for his statement by the activists.

Sathyaraj in his statement had said, "I have got to know that what I had spoken during the Cauvery water crisis has created a lot of tension among the people of Karnataka. I am not against Kannadiga or Karnataka. He also said that the biggest example for this is that for the last 30 years, my assistant has been Shekar who is a kannadiga. He also said that I and would like to say that I am a small worker in Bahubali film and my comment should not affect the film, I really want to apologize."
Also earlier it was appealed by the film director SS Rajamouli to none other than pro – Kannada groups in order to allow the release the block buster films sequel in Karnataka. He also said in his movie statement that the statement made by Sathyaraj is in no relation with the movie or its crew. The movie Baahubali 2 is to be supported by all the audience as earlier when Baahubali was released. We have also informed Sathyaraj about the situation. And certainly have nothing to do with his comments.
Sathyaraj had also expressed his regret saying that his actions were held against a movie in which thousands of people have put in lot of hard effort. He also requested many directors and producers who really are not interested in any kind of trouble to their films in future while casting it. He also said that he will continue to voice his option for various issues like Cauvery issue, farmer issue and many more for Tamil People. He also said that he will feel more full and proud to live and die as a Tamilian and not as an actor.
