Ant-Man 3, set to be released in February, will mark the beginning of Phase 5 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film will feature Paul Rudd's character Scott Lang battling Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror, who was previously introduced as the He Who Remains Variant in Loki.

This will be the first time Kang's prime form is featured in a solo movie, and he will eventually become the main antagonist in 2025's Avengers 5, one of two new Avengers movies.

Marvel Studios has indicated that Kang will be a formidable villain, similar to Thanos in the Infinity Saga. The studio has also emphasized the significance of Ant-Man 3 in the overall Multiverse Saga story.

This new film will showcase Kang in a prominent role and highlight his potential to be a dangerous threat beyond his appearance in the film.

The Ant-Man 3 poster hints at the events of Avengers 5.

Marvel Studios has released a poster for the upcoming film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which is set to be the studio's first release in 2023. The poster features Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, and Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang in their superhero costumes with cosmic energy and ships from the Quantum Realm.

The poster also includes a depiction of Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror, who is dressed in his blue helmet and face shield. This film is expected to set the stage for Avengers 5.

The tagline for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is "Witness the Beginning of a New Dynasty," indicating that the film will serve as the first chapter of the story leading into Avengers: The Kang Dynasty in 2025.

Ant-Man 3 will mark the beginning of Kang's story and his role as a major antagonist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)

Ant-Man 3 director Peyton Reed has indicated that the film will have a strong connection to Avengers 5, as both projects are being written by Jeff Loveness.

This will be the first film to focus on Kang the Conqueror after his initial appearance in Loki, and it is expected to provide more information about his full story than was previously revealed in The Avengers or Guardians of the Galaxy.

While it is unclear how Ant-Man 3 will end, it has been hinted that Avengers 5 will involve Kang and his Variants in a multiverse-spanning quest.

However, it is unknown at this time how these stories will fit together in the larger narrative.

Marvel will release a new trailer for Ant-Man 3 in conjunction with the new poster for the film. The trailer is expected to provide more information about Kang's plan and role in the film, and establish him as a major villain for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is set to be released in theaters on February 17.
