The trailer for the highly anticipated horror comedy movie "Renfield" has been met with mixed reactions from fans on Twitter. Many were disappointed with Nicholas Cage's portrayal of the iconic vampire Dracula, with some calling his version terrible and making comparisons to musician Marilyn Manson and actor Jared Leto's portrayal of the Joker in "Suicide Squad."

Some fans have also criticized the modern Dracula for not being true to the character's traditional depiction as a scary and bloodthirsty monster, and have pointed out that the creature is supposed to have fangs for drinking blood, not a full set of pointy teeth.
Despite the negative reactions, some fans have said they will still watch the movie, although they are not expecting much.
Others have lamented that the late actor Christopher Lee, who famously played Dracula in the 1958 film of the same name, would be disappointed by the modern portrayal.
"Renfield," which is set to be released on April 14, 2023 by Universal Pictures and directed by Chris McKay, also stars Nicholas Hoult, Awkwafina, Ben Schwartz, Adrian Martinez, and Shohreh Aghdashloo in supporting roles.
