Ciara and Russell Wilson's Visit to Everglades Correctional Institution
Ciara and Russell Wilson are not just talented performers, but also big-hearted individuals who never hesitate to give back to their community. Recently, the couple visited Everglades Correctional Institution in Miami, Florida, with the organization God Behind Bars, to bring hope and joy to the incarcerated men at the maximum security prison.

During the visit, Ciara and Wilson read a sermon and sang with the 300 inmates at the prison's chapel. Wilson started the service by reading a bible verse, and then handed the mic to Ciara, who led the congregation in song. The "Level Up" singer shared the beautiful message of God's love, which is relentless and forgiving, and reminded the men that there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus.
Bringing God's Message to the Incarcerated
As Ciara sang the track "Way Maker", the entire congregation, including Wilson and the church band, joined in to deliver God's message to the inmates. The night was filled with worship, praise, and salvation, and 27 incarcerated men gave their lives to Jesus that night.
In another video, posted on Wilson's and God Behind Bars' Instagram accounts, one of the inmates was invited to sing "Jireh" with Ciara. The man's singing chops amazed everyone in the room, and the whole congregation erupted with applause and praise. It was a life-changing moment for the man and everyone present, and the organization called it a testament to the fact that Jesus still has a purpose and plan for each and every man in that room.
Spreading Love and Hope Through Music
Ciara and Wilson have a long history of giving back to their community. Most recently, they paid a Christmas-time visit to Children's Hospital Colorado, where they spent time with the children and made the most of their visit to the hospital's broadcast media center. The couple has also visited the hospital in the past and spread love and joy to the young patients.
